The incident took place around 9:46 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, when East Fishkill police responded to the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union on Route 376 for a report of a car accident, said East Fishkill Police Chief Matthew Orsino.
When officers arrived on the scene they found that a woman attempting to park jumped the curb and drove into the front of the building, just left of the ATM and glassed-in area, he said.
No one was injured during the incident and the East Fishkill building inspector deemed the building safe once it had been boarded up, Orsino said.
The chief said during the investigation and clean-up customers were diverted to other branches of the bank.
No charges have been filed.
